Oswal Group Global plans to build a $400m caustic soda plant in Oman's southern port city of Salalah, a company official said on Tuesday.
"The company has completed a feasibility study and expected to start construction of the plant in the fourth quarter of 2010," a spokesman from its local subsidiary Oswal Oman Caustic, told Reuters.
Oswal Group Global, a diversified family-owned firm, has appointed Bank Muscat as financial advisor for the project, he added.
